Further proof that librarians are magicians! Book was found and it wasn't brown after all, it was blue.
The only information about the book that we had was the colour, a possible author (27 possible authors with that last name), the knowledge that it was the commentary for the Handbook of Steel Construction that was published by CISC (no records in our catalogue for CISC or for Canadian Institute of Steel Construction).
Having limited accurate knowledge, I suggested that we browse the stacks in the appropriate call number range which was TA 630 for structural engineering. He found the item on the top shelf!
Now weren't we lucky!
